Growing resilience through connection

Life can leave us feeling disconnected: from ourselves, from each other and from the world. Depression, anxiety, and especially trauma can all be causes. This disconnect can impact every aspect of life and lead to many different mental health concerns and struggles. Life does not have to stay this way, however. Therapy that focuses on reconnecting and allows you to feel secure and understood, can help you tap into your mind, body, and nervous system’s natural abilities to overcome and empower you to explore your experiences and begin to heal. My role is to be both a guide and a collaborator for you on this healing path, fostering resilience and growth every step of the way. Your journey matters, and I’m here to walk alongside you.

A combined approach

While cognitive focused, top-down approaches allow us to build skills for challenging thought patterns, they lack the embodied, experiential techniques that can be so helpful when working through trauma. These types of approaches, often referred to “bottom-up”, help us understand our nervous system, (re)connect to our bodies, ground ourselves, and live mindfully, all of which are extremely beneficial for many mental health concerns, especially trauma. I believe in using a combination of top-down and bottom-up approaches to facilitate healing, foster connection, and promote growth.
